Recently, our editor, Mary, was interviewed by Stephanie Kendron, the creator of the Modern Sewciety podcast for her latest episode. Stephanie offers something unique to the sewing community; the opportunity to hear from other creatives and be inspired by their own personal stories. Read our interview with Stephanie to help get your creative juices flowing.

It is always so exciting when we have the chance to feature the visual feast that is Natalia Manley’s work. This issue, the renowned quilt artist tells us about the making of ‘Daydreaming as Everybody’s Talking at Me’, a quilt she made for the Contempraneo 2018 exhibition in Brazil. Not only is the story of its creation fascinating, but the quilt’s route to its intended destination is fraught with difficulties and complications and makes for a breath-taking read.

Our cover star, Amy Morrison, first tried her hand at embroidery when faced with the possibility of bed rest and boredom and quickly developed a startlingly good ability for capturing her life and the lives of others through stitch. We fell in love with her wonderfully complex but simple work and just know you will too.
Don’t miss all this and lots more creative inspiration in our July / August issue!
